Forrester

Forrester is a fashion brand concept born in the spring of 2025. Supporting women in Bluegrass, the brand marries physical processes with digital, through a custom font linocut for printing capabilities, embracing the imperfections that come from analogue processes. In this project you will find branding, a custom fit t shirt, and a visual essay outlining some histories and processes.

The Forrester Tee

Neckline made from thrifted ribbed
tank top, cotton from Joann’s closing
sale, scraps and a hand cut and printed
typeface.

Pattern made from scratch via tracing
existing garments and adjusting
certain fitting aspects, especially
width and arm hole width.

The Type

Like me, Forrester is all about the analogue, so what better method for printing than linocut.

Each letter started out in a 6:12 miniature grid, with each vertical line being one "pixel" or square thick, and all horizontal being half as thick. Through constant resketching and manipulation, this is the final result, balanced yet still irregular.
